In terms of communication, Basail is not different from any other low-lying area of the country. However, with the construction of the Jamuna Bridge, part of the northern railway has touched Basail Upazila. The 7/8 km section of the national highway flows through Karatipara, Nahali, Gulah Madhyapara and Baikhola mouzas of Basail upazila.
